Samsung Embeds Fixmo Sentinel Integrity Services Technology in Smartphones, Tablets

Samsung (News - Alert) will be embedding Fixmo’s patented Sentinel Integrity Services technology in its smartphones and tablets. Fixmo is a mobile risk management company that helps organizations identify, mitigate and manage security on mobile devices in the workplace.

This partnership will help Government agencies and Enterprise IT which are desirous to adopt consumer-grade Android (News - Alert) devices for critical business applications with assured corporate security, integrity and compliance.

Fixmo Sentinel Integrity Services is a security solution that can detect tampering, policy violations, vulnerabilities and potentially malicious third-party applications on mobile devices.

The core patented technology called “AutoBerry” formerly was developed by the U.S. National Security Agency (News - Alert) (NSA) for safeguarding smartphones and verifying system integrity and compliance for U.S. Department of Defense agencies.

Leveraging a Co-operative Research and Development Agreement (CRADA) with the NSA, Fixmo made the Government-Off-The-Shelf (GOTS) technology into a Commercial-Off-The-Shelf (COTS) solution that is compatible with the Android platform, revealed officials.

Government and Department of Defense agencies make use of Fixmo Sentinel Integrity Services as an after-market product for BlackBerry (News - Alert) and Android deployments. Samsung can now preload the services on select Samsung GALAXY devices on Samsung KNOX platform which is an end-to-end secure platform.

Rick Segal, CEO of Fixmo noted that this partnership with Samsung will enable the delivery of tightly integrated, feature-rich, and trusted implementation of Fixmo Sentinel Integrity Services on devices powered by the Samsung KNOX platforms.

Cellrox a specialist in multi-persona solutions for mobile devices announced a partnership with Fixmo to provide multi-persona services for iPhones and iPads brought into organizations through bring your own device (BYOD) arrangements. Cellrox will integrate the Fixmo SafeZone secure workspace solution into its Cellrox solution to enhance mobile security and privacy for enterprise IT departments and iOS users.
