Battelle Won Contract from U.S. Army Cyber Security

We are living in the age where internet has become like second nature for millions of people. Businesses, common people, government organizations and professionals all depend on the Internet for all type of information and electronic transactions. However, getting a stable, safe, and resilient cyberspace has always been serious challenge for many public and private organizations, particularly defense organizations.
In order to protect sensitive data across applications, networks, and databases, Battle, a research and development organization is set to conduct in-depth information assurance research supporting the United States Army's Identity Management and Cryptographic initiatives.
Battelle will do this research under a contract worth $22.4 million. This contract has a base of 10 months with two option years. The company has also signed the contract with two companies -- TASC and Maden Technologies, a Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business.
This new task order is part of the “Software, Networks, Information and Modeling& Simulation (SNIM) Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity (ID/IQ)” contract and will assist the Army Chief Information Officer and G6 Identity Management Division with improved development of PKI’s as well as better planning of cyber strategies, identity access management, Communications Security (COMSEC); network operations planning and more.
"Battelle is focused on delivering high-impact technical cyber solutions to address mission needs," said in a statement, David Fisher, vice president of Battelle's Cyber Innovation business. "The performance of this contract fits perfectly in our strategic focus and we look forward to serving the Army to further advance their leadership role in identity management and cryptographic solutions."
