Balfour Beatty Communities Recognized for Tenant Satisfaction by CEL & Associates
By Brittany Walters-Bearden, TMCnet Contributor
Balfour Beatty Communities, LLC, which provides development, renovation, operation, financing, and management services for military housing projects, has attracted attention for their commitment to customer service. It is this commitment that recently garnered them the 2012 National Multifamily Customer Service Award for Excellence by CEL & Associates.
The award is a high honor, as CEL is U.S.’s largest surveyor of tenant satisfaction. CEL has a coveted “A List” for real estate excellence. Balfour Beatty made the 2012 “A List” many times, receiving eight “A List” Platinum Awards for service satisfaction scores of 92 percent or more and 86 “A List” awards for service satisfaction scores of 85 percent or higher. The communities that earned a platinum-level award include: Altus Air Force Base in Oklahoma, Fairchild Air Force Base in Washington, NAS JRB in Fort Worth, NSB Kings Bay in George, Luke Air Force Base in Arizona, NSU in Saratoga Springs, and NAS Whiting Field in Florida.
Chris Williams, the president of Balfour Beatty, calls customer service “the heartbeat” of the company and says he is honored by the recognition that the company has received, calling it a “testament to the performance and dedication of our team”. Williams says Balfour Beatty will continue to provide “quality housing, world-class service, and welcoming communities” for members of the United States military and their families.
Military families can look forward to more quality service from Balfour Beatty Communities. On November 19, they cut the ribbon on forty new homes in Fort Leonard Wood, where many military homes were destroyed in a tornado. It is anticipated that the 160-home project will be completed in spring of 2013. On November 30, the company announced that they will be constructing an additional 500 townhomes at Fort Bliss, Texas. This project will do more than just house Junior Enlisted and Junior Non-Commissioned Officers and their families, it will also upgrade energy efficiency to 50 percent more than homes certified at LEED’s highest rating.
