The U.S. Army’s Program Executive Office – Command, Control and Communications Tactical (PEO-C3T) – has awarded two Global Tactical Advanced Communications (News - Alert) Systems (GTACS) projects to Globecomm Systems, Inc.
The contracts from the U.S. Army are for Unrestricted Suite of Contracts and for the Small Business Restricted Suite of Contracts, where maximum revenue is $4.5 million. Globecomm has been awarded these multiple contracts involving indefinite delivery and quantity for a period of five years at a maximum worth of $10 billion.
In a statement, David Hershberg (News - Alert), CEO and Chairman of Globecomm Systems said, “We are proud to have been selected and entrusted to compete for the future provisioning of mission-critical turn-key communications systems and equipment in support of a host of our Warfighters needs via this contract vehicle. We take pride in always providing quality, cost-effective solutions to all of our customers, but there is no higher honor than to support the men and women out there on the front lines of our Nation’s defense.”
According to Dwight Hunsicker, VP of Government Business Development at Globecomm, the organization and all its Teammates, who have worked tirelessly in association with Globecomm for winning this contract, are very pleased with the outcome.
“It will be the primary means of the U.S. Army procuring advanced communications solutions for its mission needs, as well as for those needs of the National Guard, various Joint Task Forces and other civilian agencies,” Hunsicker said.

The organization is able to provide a wide-ranging portfolio of system incorporation, system solutions and network services by leveraging its proficiencies in budding communication technologies.
