Microsoft (News - Alert), a company that develops, manufactures, licenses and supports a wide range of computer-related products and services, has been relying on its network of dedicated partners around the globe to deliver technology solutions. The company recently recognized CDW (News - Alert) Government as Partner of the Year for its unwavering commitment to serving customers across government.
CDW Government is a source of technology solutions to government, education and healthcare customers. The company is recognized as the 2012 Microsoft U.S. Federal Channel Partner (News - Alert) of the Year. The award honors CDW-G’s innovative use of Microsoft technology in support of public sector agencies and organizations.
Winners and finalists were nominated and selected by Microsoft’s U.S. Public Sector team working throughout the nation.
“Government organizations are being challenged to deliver improved services while simultaneously cutting costs. Over the past year, CDW-G has shown how the innovative deployment of Microsoft technology can transform operations for our Government customers,” Greg Myers, vice president, U.S. Federal at Microsoft, said in a statement.
CDW-G received multiple nominations from across the Microsoft Federal field organization citing its involvement and expertise in driving new business, as well as managing accounts and enterprise agreements with key Federal customers. The company is also said to have received praise for its dedication to helping customers maximize their software investments by engaging in every step of the software lifecycle – from technology validation to management and deployment.
“This award, like CDW’s 2012 Microsoft Server Platform Partner of the Year award in July, is the latest example of our commitment to working with valued partners such as Microsoft to consistently deliver exceptional service, solutions and expertise to customers,” said Doug Eckrote, senior vice president of strategic solutions and services for CDW.
CDW Government is a wholly-owned subsidiary of CDW LLC. The company recently made public that it will be providing cloud Salesforce services to commercial and public sector customers under a brand new agreement with salesforce.com.
